Let’s Breakdown Our Fund:
The Core Financials:
Initial Capital: $7,275
Here is the initial capital contributed by our family and our friends. We will continually add new capital to grow our fund and offset any losses. Special thanks to our friends who contributed their own money to help our mission.
Total Funding: $20,100
This is the total funding we’ve distributed via microloans. This number will continue to climb as new capital is added and repayments are redistributed into new (multigenerational) loans. We will never take our money out of our fund. Ever.
# of Loans: 275
This is the number of microloans we have made to date. As our loans are repaid, we will reinvest in new loans. Then, repeat. Behind each loan are real people. People with real stories. We encourage you to read about them.
Average Loan Size: $63.55
Another critical metric is the average loan size. Our strategy is to start by making many smaller loans and slowly increasing the amount we lend each time. So we hope to see this metric continue to grow.
Our Reach:
# of Countries Reached: 56
This is the total number of countries we have been able to reach through our microloans. With 195 total countries in the world, we have some serious work to do. But we are up for the challenge. If you want to track our current country reach, check out our Loan Tracker.
.
# of Continents: 6
As it stands today, the % of continents we’ve reached looks pretty good at 85.7%. But, it’s going to be impossible for us to achieve 100%. Why? Because Antarctica is not a country. Fun fact: it’s also the earth’s largest desert.
