Mobile transactions + social interest = incredible.

We joined a group of 24 lenders by contributing $25 to Juliana’s microloan on July 24, 2021.

Juliana is a 27-year-old entrepreneur who operates a mobile money business. She was requesting this loan to purchase more electronic cash and plans to use the profit she earns to help support her family’s daily needs.

She will also repay “social interest” on her loan – which we think is awesome. To do this, she will volunteer two and half hours a week as a Peer Educator, teaching life skills sessions to students in schools. Topics that she will teach to the students include my rights my choices, choosing your career path, active citizenship, etc.
