We joined a group of 10 lenders by contributing $50 to Ruth’s microloan on August 8, 2021.

Ruth is a 25-year-old entrepreneur who started her own business as a mobile money agent. She was seeking this loan to increase her float for her mobile transaction business.

We wanted to help Ruth for 2 reasons…

First, she will use the income she earns to pay school fees for her siblings – which is amazing.

Secondly, she will repay “social interest” on her loan by volunteering three hours a week mentoring young people, helping them with a range of personal and entrepreneurial issues.
